Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

We live in a society today that prides itself in its pluralism.  We are a society made up of many different people groups and many different beliefs.  This plurality of beliefs has led some people to say that there are many ways to God or that all beliefs are equally valid. This belief has even been embraced by some who claim to be Christians.

The problem for a Christian in embracing such a belief is that it contradicts what the Bible teaches.  Our Lord said in John 14:6 that He is the only way to God. I Timothy 2:5 also says, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
To believe that there is more than one way to God is to deny what the Bible says.  To deny the Bible is to doubt its authority as the Word of God.  In the end, it comes down to this; is the individual going to believe God’s Word or the current public opinion. 

If then we believe God’s Word, that Jesus is the only way to the Father, what are we doing about it?  Are we telling others about our Lord Jesus Christ?  Are we letting others know that He is the only way?  Our beliefs will affect our actions.  If we believe Jesus is the only way, we will tell others. 

Yes, our society does pride itself in its pluralism.  The only thing some in our world today don’t tolerate is those that they see as narrow-minded.  As Believers some may see us as narrow-minded, but the truth of God’s Word is very narrow here.  There is only one way to God.  It’s through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Don’t be afraid of public opinion.  Proclaim the truth about Jesus Christ.  He is the only way to Heaven.
